I have always had a passion for books and music. For me, words aren’t just something on a page, they are dreams to get lost in, stories to inspire, and experiences to live through.

And it’s not just books, music is equally important for me. It wakes me up on a morning, and often can be the last thing to go through my mind as I go to sleep.

I think lyrics are just another way for poetry to be experienced, and so many amazing songwriters are or started out as poets, so there’s got to be something in that, right?

I hope through my writing and my reporting of music I listen to, and gigs I am lucky to experience, you will share in my joy of the written, spoken and sung word, and celebrate the incredible languages that we speak through both writing and music.

My Story

Echoes In Ink is a unique platform that intertwines the beauty of creative writing with a profound love for music.

My mission is to explore the dynamic relationship between lyrics and writing, enriching the experience of both worlds.Having used words all my working life in business, I had a sudden drive to want to write outside of the ‘corporate box’ and lean into some of the inspiration I have always loved reading, both poetry and stories.

Dipping my toe in, I found a creative writing group (Barnard Castle Writing Group) who have been hugely supportive in my own writing, accepting some of my works for publishing, and challenging me to broaden myself in terms of style and composition.

I now find myself with a fictional novel part written, an anthology of poems also in the making, and a sudden love for flash fiction; taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary.

And now I have managed to weave one of my other loves in life, music, offering track and gig reviews across a wide selection of music.
